Anya Ink is staples, ribbon and circles

This is my card for the current Anya Ink challenge....which is to include:

Two different ribbons, any number of circles and staples

POP on over to Anya Ink - Marcia and Tracey have some gorgeous examples for you!

.... enter the challenge and you could WIN a Greeting Farm stamp!! And maybe you will be picked as the third DT member!

Now for my card:

I could not find my stapler ... mmm :P but I found staples.. coloured them purple with my copics and then put them on by hand, not the easiest but it worked, I then tied some redish pink ribbon over the 4 corner staples (ooh - I actually have 3 types of ribbon on here - hope that's OK) ... I'm counting the "O"s in "once upon a time" as my circles.... mmmm - it fits the criteria with some twisting. lol!

Here's a close up of Fairy Chloe ... I added glossy accents to her wings - but hard to get a good photo of that!

Thanks for looking! Oh... tomorrow we're off to Lord Howe Island! whoo hoo! Can't wait - Just have to finish packing! Will have some posts scheduled for whilst away and I'll see you all again in about 10 days!

Rainy Day Hanna

Thursday is here again which means it is my STAMP SPOT day!!

So here I am to show you the card I have just posted up on the Stamp Spot blog.

Here's the explanation of what I have used for this card...
When I saw this Gorgeous Basic Grey - Indian Summer sheet (cut to 6") in my DT pack I could not bear to cut it up....I thought it made a perfect little backdrop for someone to walk through - so I trimmed it and used the whole piece .... I also cut to size the red Felt ribbon to put down the side. I used a rainy day Hanna image (coloured with copics and 'rainproofed' with glossy accents) and then finished off the card with some rhinestones and a rub-on swirl.

WHOO - Marcia has just received some brand new THE GREETING FARM stamps instore - check them out here. Remember also to check out her marvellous paper sale + new embellishments + lots of other great new stamps!!!

Seems I'm posting a weather report with my cards this week... today is rather overcast - looks a bit miserable outside! Will see just how so later when I go into the city to see my optician...really is time for a new prescription! lol

Bizzy Becs Creatalicious challenges :: scraps and handmade flowers

This is my card for the current Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge!
which is:
* Use only scrap/used sheets of DP,
* You can use new cardstock
* Add flowers handmade by you.

I used Bizzy Becs - Candy Kisses stamp (She is such a sweetie and happens to be on sale at the moment if you want to snap her up), coloured her with Copics.... sponged the background with purple ink and then used all sorts of scraps of papers that were on my desk (sticking them haphazardly on the cardstock).... I freecut the flowers with scissors and stuck a rhinestone in the middle!

Thanks for looking!

Magnolia Down Under STORE Guest DT Call…

The wonderfully talented and lovely Kellie Winnell is having a guest designer call for her new store .... Magnolia Down Under Store.... if you hurry you can still apply - the deadline is tomorrow at midnight. The requirements - quoted directly :
"to prepare a blog post showcasing your favourite handmade creations. It, or they, can be from last year, last month, last week or yesterday. Doesn’t have to have a Magnolia, but would be a bonus" and ... a link to the GDT call which is HERE

So here I go... these are a couple of my favourite creations I have made using Magnolia images...

Hope and Grace sing for Anya Ink

So the challenge this week at Anya Ink is to have Printed Paper (DSP) on it somewhere.... well I have used one double sided DSP (Samantha - Ivy double sided textured) I just had to buy a paper named Samantha - lol!

I paper pieced this gorgeous Greeting Farm stamp - aint she sweet!

I Made some butterflies and a flower from the same DSP and added some sparkle too!

Thanks for stopping by!

dolls for Del

I wanted to make a special present for a young friend, and decided to make some paper dolls...
I drew these 3 little girlies on the computer, I think they are pretty cute and might even use them again! lol....

I printed them and coloured them with my copics...laminated and then was having trouble with the clothing. Guy suggested they might be better as magnetic girls/ clothes....and he was right.
Here is the final product - printed on magnetic paper and coloured with Copics (it's hard to blend the copics as the surface is so shiny and the ink dries VERY quickly - but it worked ok)!

Geisha Anya stops by.

Morning friends.... where does the week go?? I have been doing lots of organisation for our church camp this weekend and between that and the rest of life have not been around a lot ... my best intentions of visiting all my blogging friends and leaving some "love" behind has not happened yet. but I'm hoping today and tomorrow to get around the blogland traps.

Suddenly it's Thursday again..... oooh... that means I'm up to post my Stamp Spot creation.
Here is the card I made for the blog this week!

Marcia sent the DT another lovely bundle of goodies this month!!
Scrummy papers and then some "challenging?!? other bits and pieces".

I decided to use this Sassafrass Lass Beatnik Bud and with helpful advice from Guy put it alongside Geisha Anya (THANKS Deb for sending me this image!) I really do LOVE these Kaisercraft hideaway rubons and they fit the florally theme brilliantly so on they went!

I think the papers are gorgeous too - check out the Stamp spot blog for direct links to the shop where you can buy them and there is still a paper sale on so go check it out!!

This is not my usual colour choices and thus I'm still deciding what I think of this card myself!

thanks for looking and thanks for bearing with me in my sporadic posting and visiting!

Hanna does some gardening

Hi there! long time..no blog! I have not been very well these last few days and in a bit of a black hole too....but am feeling a bit better today so here I am!
Well on Thursday I managed to post my weekly entry on the Stamp Spot but did not get it on here as well...so in case you did not see it there Here it is!

I used Garden Hanna from Hanna stamps!

The thing I love about the Hanna sheets from Hanna Stamps is the little accessories that come along with it*! I have used three of these at the bottom of the card!
The paper I used is October Afternoon - Cherry Hill --> It's a lovely double sided sheet that co-ordinates perfectly!I had to add some rhinestone bling too!
ALL AVAILABLE at the Stamp Spot store

*The smaller stamps work well to decorate the inside of a card or the corner of an envelope (as below)!

Pop on by the Stamp Spot and see what wonderful creations the other DT ladies have been making! There are some REAL stunners there!!

Thanks for looking and I do hope to pop by all your blogs in the next days!! xxx

Happy Birthday George!!!

Today is the birthday of a good friend of mine - Georgina!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!!!!

Here is the card I made for her! I wanted to make something a bit more special than a normal card so I used this gatefold tutorial of Beate's which was Great!

My friend loves ferrets - she is 'mum' to two lively little ferrets and loves them to bits... so I really wanted to include some ferrets on the card .. I found lots of photos on the net and then drew a couple on my Wacom tablet ... they are not brilliant but they pass as ferrets I think! :D
I also used 2 gorjuss girls from Sugar Nellie as the stamps - coloured green of course as that's George's fav. colour!

inside view:

half opened:

back view:
I wrote a little acrostic poem --->

took quite a while to make overall but I was pretty pleased with the end result!
Thanks for looking!

Papercraft Festival

I met up with my friend T today and we went to the Papercraft Festival at Canterbury Racecourse! It was a good day.... here we are at the end of our shopping expedition....

We worked out what we wanted to get and then split pretty much everything in half :)
so we sat at this table to divide our loot... as I was taking photos a lady came over and asked if I could take a photo of her there (as her scrapbook albums have pages of everyone but no photos of her in them!) .. .so then she took a photo for us too! thanks :D

Here's a pile of my loot once I got home... mm... lots to play with!
I also picked up T's old heat gun - yay - and some images she embossed + some paper she cut up for me! Wow - how lucky am I!
THANKS T :)
