Anya Ink + Flutterby Wednesday

PhotobucketThis week the challenge at Anya Ink is no printed paper ... ahhh... I  used to make cards without printed paper all the time but now it's hard! Thankfully I have a cuttlebug and could create some textured patterns instead!! Check out the gorgeous DT creations at Anya Ink!!

At Flutterby Wednesday the challenge is an open one... but has to include a butterfly, fairy or angel! I have cut out a butterfly and embossed it (on the cuttlebug) and added some pearl drops to decorate! Pop on over and check out the wonderful inspiration posts!

I used a bit of Neenah paper for this card (Thanks to Trace for sending me a piece to try) ... ooh - it's a delight to colour in on and I think you can see the difference - blends so easily! Looks like that's something I  HAVE to invest in! lol! You were right Randi!!!

Now - I will only post once tomorrow :D

Stuff used: Ruby - stamp from the Greeting Farm

Copic markers, white gel pen, pearl drops, embossing folders - script and swiss dots, butterfly diecut + embossing folder + cardstock

Prince Charming... I mean Ian

This is my third post for the day... sorry for clogging up your google readers etc!! :D Click here for my Stamp Spot post.

The CHA relay is finished now (early) ... there were just too many people and people not posting in the right place etc etc.... pretty crazy.... HUGE THANKS to those girls who were taking care of things... I  had a blast!!!

When I saw the preview of Prince Ian on the Greeting Farm site...I wondered if I should use Dressy Joyce as a princess and Ian as the prince or Princess Ava... and Guy said to use the princess kissing the frog.. so I did!

Here is the front of my card....

and the inside....

and then close up of Prince Ian on the inside cover of the card....

The castle photos were taken when Guy and I stayed in Carcassonne back in 2007 ... we took soooo many photos... just loved the old walled city!! Mmm... looking through the pile of photos made me realise that I really should finish scrapping that holiday... So hopefully I  will be able to scrap a few pages a week from now on! Will try!!! lol

I am REALLY enjoying using the Copic markers... but unfortunately now E00 and E35 are empty... so I'm going to have to get some refills!

a cupcake for Ms Bubblefish

Ms Bubblefish/ Ms Textual/ Steph is an ex-English teacher from my old school!! Unfortunately I never had her as a teacher but some good friends did and my sister did - and everyone loved her!! I have since become an avid reader of her blog where she writes the most interesting posts on life in retirement, writing, books, knitting, ceramics....and much much more! Her posts always have gorgeous pictures and wonderful textures to look at from alpaca wool to ceramic glazed fish. She knits the most amazing things, such as novelty teacosies and cupcakes and thus when I heard it was her birthday I had to make a special card for her... so I drew a cupcake and a teacup and made an easel card. Here is the card! Now that she has received the card I  can post it up here :D

wow .. I'm having a bit of a fight with images in this new editor for blogger.... do other ppl use it - what do you think?? HAVE DECIDED to leave my blog candy post until tomorrow... so if you want to pop back then and enter you can pick up your free cupcake image :D

The Stamp Spot.... no more Peek a Boo!

Here is my card for this week's Stamp Spot post.... I have used the stamp differently again!!!
Photobucket
further details of this card and products used can be viewed
at THE STAMP SPOT
Don't forget the WONDERFUL sale
Marcia has on at the store!

Thanks for all your kind words and well wishes... I am feeling much better today after a visit to the Chiropractor... just a few twinges in my back but my head is not as horrid today!

I have just changed over to the new editor for blogger and am still trying to work things out... New things are always hard at first aren't they!

(hugs)

Will be back later today with a Royal card and"hopefully" something for Anya Ink!

CHA Relay #3 image :: Toby cub

The Greeting Farm relay is still going!!
It's been so popular that the gallery keeps on crashing - too much activity! What a headache for those poor peeps in charge! They are doing an AWESOME job if you ask me!

I made this card up last night... after I saw Toby cub previewed....and used a temporary image I had saved in Pages.. so I'd know what size to print Toby off! works Ok I think!
The extra baby stamps are Fiskars!

Thanks for stopping by.... think you'll only have to put up with one post from me today as I have the most horrid headache! Have not had one this bad in a while now! Catch you around! Will be back tomorrow with my Stamp Spot card (something VERY different this week)!

Tuesday, 26 January 2010

I know I have been throwing it in and out of posts that I'll be having one... well I am. To qualify for the blog candy drawing I am going to ask ppl to make a card and will give you an image to use... only thing is I'm not going to put the pic up yet... as I've sent a card to someone and don't want to show the image here first (silly me forgot it was a public holiday today and the post would not arrive).

Phindy's Place is so sweet!

Well.... when I found Phindy's place through Copic Creations and on Papercraft planet (here)I was amazed at how lifelike and beautiful all the digi-images are! Philomena O'Neil (Phindy) has an etsy shop where you can purchase her images!! I just HAD to get a couple... here are 2 cards I have made today (I woke up at 6.30am this morning with a sore back - so I've had lots of time today to craft!)
Photobucket

#1 --> The Big Girl's Class
coloured with Copics.... if you want to know any of the colours let me know ... I do have them written on a sheet of paper - I wanted to keep the card fairly fuss free so that the focus would be on the image... what do you think?? The Sentiment is from The Greeting Farm.

#2 --> Spring Dress - Mei Mei (oops... she looks much more Caucasian than Asian this time!)
Photobucket
coloured with Copics - R00, 11, 20, 35, 37, 59, E37, 35, 33
This one is for the current challenge at Phindy's place ... which is to create a birthday card and use Red and Brown ... unfortunately PCP is down right now and I can't link to the right place... will try later!
thanks for looking and be sure to check out Phindy's place!!

Happy Australia Day!!

Today is a public holiday here in Australia.... marking the anniversary of Captain Arthur Phillip's landing here with the first fleet (11 convict ships).

It's a day to celebrate being an Aussie :D

It is a wonderful place to live :D

CHA Relay # 2 image ... CHARLOTTE

I know it's the third post of the day... but I'm just so excited! lol!

This is Charlotte ... isn't she adorable!! If you have not already done so...you can still get her ---> if you hurry and make a card with that gorgeous Mer Ian on yesterdays post at
The Greeting Farm.
Photobucket
I've coloured her in with Copics again (of course) and yes... can't seem to put down that white gel pen either!! The buckle and the bling are from Bizzy Becs ... loving Bec's embellishments right now!! The rest of the papers are from my stash :D
Oh, and I had to fix up my poor Mer Ian card... so I recoloured a new image... and just had to move things slightly to cover the torn paper... It works.. Not sure if I like the hair better now or before?!?! (I think you should be able to click on him if you want to look closer)

Righto - I'm off to bed!! (hugs) might add Copic colours later as did write them down! Helpful when you need to re-do an image! lol

Pixie Dust Studio DT call

As you can see from the piccy... Pixie Dust Studio are having a DT call....

Check it out and why not apply?!
They have the sweetest images... and Kathy is giving us all a freebie of Pixie Pie catching hearts to have a play with... She did catch my heart and I just had to print her off and stick her on a card... here she is :D

I've had a productive afternoon.... desk cleaned and ready for tomorrows crafting of the next TGF digi, some colouring .... and a stack load of images stamped up... for a couple of o/s friends and also.... a pile to go in that blog candy I've been promising... so more on that tomorrow :D
xxx
Thanks for stopping by.

CHA Relay day1 - Mer Ian

Well The Greeting Farm CHA relay is underway ... the first free digi - available to all is on their blog and the challenge is to take this gorgeous Mer Ian image and make a card by Mon 6pm (CST) .... Here is the card I have made...
Mer Ian
I coloured Ian in with Copics and pink + clear spica pens to add some sparkle!

After I took this photo I went to go back and make his necklace clearer + re-photograph.... but after I'd fixed it with some black multiliner I then stupidly put my hand on the image and smudged it.... so I went to to take Ian off the card and replace with a new image but I ripped the paper below... oops - Having used up scraps I do not have the same papers left to replace it... so this card is no more! oopsie! Therefore this photo will have to suffice!

Hope your weeks have started off well... Mine has been OK... started with Acupuncture this morning ... felt GREAT afterwards :D

See you later!

one post, RUBY + a couple of challenges...

The star of this post is Ruby!!
A most delightful Wild Sprout... available at The Greeting Farm and designed by Amy.
******************************
My first card is for FARM FRESH FRIDAY - which this week is Celebrating the fact that Marie, Jess and Randi are at CHA... and to HELP BRING ON THE SUN!
So here is my shiny, happy card...
Photobucket

******************************
My second card is for Sketchy Saturday #3 ... and as there is no prize/ this is just for fun then I'm hoping it's OK for me to combine this with the FLUTTERBY WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE ---the challenge this week is to use embossing -- any kind --- with your butterfly, fairy or angel.
Photobucket
I cut Ruby's head out so she would fit in the heart ... and I added in the "frills" around the heart - that were not in the sketch.... and added some butterfly bling!
Is it too pink???

I LOVED this sketch and think I just might have to give it another go sometime!! Note to self: Must file sketches I love and want to use again in a folder where I will see it!

Thanks for stopping by --- before I go - just a note of warning/ excitement....
TGF are having an amazing CHA relay race this week... starting Today (5pm Sun here in Sydney) ... it starts with a freebie Sprout (YAY!!!) and then if you make a card and post it by Mon -6pm CST (Tues at 11am here) you will get another sprout to participate in that days challenge and so on ... with the chance to get 5 free digi sprouts! I'll definitely be doing all I can to play along ... so watch out for lots more TGF cards in the next few days (lol... can you tell I LOVE them> hahaha) Well, here's hoping Marie, Jess and Randi are having a blast at CHA and that everyone else is having a GREAT weekend!

some drawing....

Well today I did some drawing for the first time in ages.... thing is though, I cannot show you what yet... as I am sending a card off to someone and I don't want to spoil the surprise... just in case she sees this before the card arrives! lol!

It was fun to draw again...and I'm thinking that I might have to do it a bit more... just for fun I think as there are soo many digi-images out there that I'm not sure mine are needed as well! But you will be seeing a few on here the next few weeks!

Whilst I'm rambling then I might add here.... I missed my blogoversary.... oops! so, I guess I will need to organise something (in lieu) this week! Stay tuned!!

This is my card for Club Anya's Monday Mania challenge... this week it is a challenge from Jen Shults to use the following "Recipe":
Olive green, Pink, Dark Brown and Sparkle!
Photobucket

Huge thanks to Tracey for sending me this image... I love this Miss Anya .. isn't she funky!

So... I found a new challenge I have not entered before ... Copic Creations and I believe I will be a regular visitor, enterer now :D This week the challenge is Ethnic skin tones... Anya Ink :: Flowers

I'm stoked to be a Guest Designer for Anya Ink this week :D
For this challenge Marcia has asked us to make a project that uses flowers ...

I had a bit of fun with this .... I used Anya from the Rock the Farm stamp set... which I purchased at The Stamp Spot! She is coloured with Copics and then stuck onto a flower-y shape... The other flowers in the pot are blooms layered and stuck onto the stem (paper wrapped around a bamboo skewer). The pot is filled with dirt/ wood chips! Here's a couple of other shots for you to see my flower creation in our garden. lol

Pop on over to Anya Ink and check out the fabulous DT creations... and why not enter this week - as it's an easy one ... you can make anything that uses flowers (and contains a The Greeting Farm image on it)

I've come back home from Canberra with a headcold (I thought it was just allergy initially but not now :P) and thus I think it will be bed for me today... not much crafting, colouring or bloghopping...plans amended - next week will be my catch up time
