Today was the birthday of some our our friends from Church - Em and Dave!! I made these cards for them yesterday!!!

Dottie's World Challenge#10

this card is for the Dottie's World Challenge ... I finally got around to making it! Just in the nick of time. Nicola set the challenge this week:

Raised can be corregated/textured Card,embossed paper,3d card or just foam pads, the choice is yours.



In case you can't really see in the picture I have raised the circles (baubles) with foam :)

Weekend Blurfing

Saturday morning!! YAY!! :) I've been longing for this weekend! What's on the agenda?? gotta do some cleaning, meeting a friend and going for a haircut this morning, Church and a pastoral care meeting tomorrow afternoon AND some card making of course... I've been slackening off on my challenge entries.. just don't seem to have time to do them all... The ONE I HAVE to do is Dottie's world :) we bought some Rhinestones on Thursday night so I'm ready now :)

Happy Birthday Karen

Yesterday it was one of our friend's Birthdays!! Karen works with Guy and has just started coming to our church in the last couple of months... It's great - She's lovely and I'm looking forward to getting to know her better!! I made her this card and Guy took it to work!



I made this card during the week!! I went through various phases and then I stopped and started afresh - I wanted to stick some wool on but was having difficulties... originally I had Dottie sitting on a knitted square but it was way too bulky... then I was gluing wool as a border around the image - way too messy - in the process I wrecked the image and had to colour in a new one... poor Dottie!!

Do you have any tips for sticking wool on cards???

Dottie's World Challenge :: Pick a Letter

This weeks Dottie's World Challenge set by Juliet is:

"Sunday Challenge #9 - 'Pick a Letter'. The challenge this week is a little bit different.....Choose any letter in the alphabet, and use as many things on your card beginning with that letter as possible, for example, if you choose the letter ‘S’ you could use stitching, stamping, spots, staples, stickers, slugs, snails, stars, anything beginning with the letter ‘S’. You can use other things too, of course. Either Dottie, George or a Kitty from the downloads must also feature on your card of course, but get really creative with the other elements."

Well... Monday-itis strikes again.... I'm glad Monday is over... Did I mention that I HATE accounts?? well - I left work with a MASSIVE headache and drove to pick up my hubby from work ... and there was an envelope for ME :) Immediately the day improved!!

Tomorrow I am going to a kitchen tea so I made this card - who else to use but Cooking Dottie?!
Our printer ink is running out - I think I've been using it too much? so I had to outline Dottie so she stood out :) I have not outlined the ones below tho.... I'm not sure If I'll leave them or if I should outline them still as they are quite faint!



Dottie Skating is my favourite image at the moment.... Oh - did you notice that Dottie had dyed her hair brown for the winter??
