Thinking of You!!

This card was one I made last weekend. yup.. have not really done anything since... Life just gets it the way!!!

I made this one with the Maggie Stamp that Tina sent me for my birthday!! Thanks Tina - I love it!! I made the card for my friend Emma whom I'm sure that most of you know... well I hear she is on the mend so hopefully she will be feeling great by the time this reaches her!! :)

Happy Birthday and a Freebie

Today was my Gran's birthday! We went out to lunch for her birthday-- yummy meal! Nice company! She enjoyed it! So did we.. it was a glorious day!! :)

Here is the card I made for her...



I drew the girl on my tablet!! It's a learning curve and I need to use it more to get more practise to improve but I think she worked! :) The flowers and patterns were cut using my cuttlebug!! :)

I thought I'd include my little Dutch girl (Johanna) with Tulips as a freebie download... If you would like to use her please click on her to make her bigger and then save to your computer.

You might remember that I made some prayer diaries for the girls in my Bible study group some time ago.... well the little girl whose house we go to was asking her mum why I made the book and wishing she had got one so I made her a special one... yes - she LOVES pink!! she was pretty pleased with her book when I gave it to her on Wednesday night!!

Dotties World :: Going for a song

Well... I've done it... I 'm getting back into the swing... slowly....My sister Nic is here for the weekend and so we've been doing a spot of crafting....

I did my card for this week's challenge...

Lou set a great one on Dottie's World this week and the DT have made some super Creations again!! What was her challenge you ask???

"It's quite an easy one this week, to celebrate my good mood I've gone for a music theme (I love to sing). All you have to do along with using a Charmed download, is incorporate the words of a song or the title of a song into your card but you're not allowed 'happy birthday' or 'congratulations' for your song, I know I said easy but that's a step too far along the easy road!"



I went with a Christmas themed card for my first attempt... pretty simple and inside I wrote "Let Earth Receive its King" ... It's pretty simple.. .I was not too keen on it and so I tried again...




I love this bathtime Dottie image... I coloured this one ages ago but it's the FIRST time I've used the image on a card! :) ... I used two different songs for this one... :)

Mmm... I'm not still not too happy with it....

Before I go - I'll leave you with pictures of the card and detachable bookmark which was my idea for last weeks challenge BUT was not made in time (I finished it off today) .... I stole this idea from Katharina - here!

I'm getting back on track...

I'm back from my weekend away in the mountains...It was lovely in the mountains...although we definitely had that phenomenon of 4 seasons in one day!! It was overall a refreshing weekend..

On Friday night the 5 of us girls staying together had champagne and yummy cakes! Tea and chocolate and Mansfield Park!! mmmmm





The talks were on Colossians ... They were a great reminder to me to be more thankful!
I came away feeling refreshed and ready to continue persevering in the faith...I may write more on this later (ask me if you want any more info)!

There is a WONDERFUL Stationery shop in Leura.. I've been told about it but never been there until yesterday! It is a lovely shop, lots of yummy stationery... but oh so expensive... however there were so many people in there - It's very popular... there is definitely a market out there for fine stationery!

MIA

Life is busy... so busy and not much goes according to plan (well my plans anyway) ... so I have not been around much this week...

I'm going away on the weekend... for a Women's Conference in the Blue Mountains.. hopefully it will be good... going with some girls from church and the ladies speaking are really good so hopefully it will be good.. it's just that I am exhausted!!

I am sad.. this is the first week that I will not get the Dottie's World challenge done since it started... I started something but it will not be done in time now... Oh well maybe I'll finish it next week!

Well ... I'll be back Sunday and maybe I will have more time next week so hopefully will get round your blogs then!!

Happy Birthday

It is my friend Amelia's birthday today!!! This is what I made for her..



I used my new and FIRST ever Hanna Stamps! I coloured in with the Copics.. I was having a few troubles with colours bleeding... I worked out that I have to use the waterbased ink..tick and the cardstock seems to make a HUGE difference! (They are fun though)!




I made covers for the chocolate we bought!! :)




As you can see I had to use the cuttlebug also!! I am in love with it!! :)

I received an Intuos Graphics tablet for my birthday ... yippee.... So I am hoping to do a lot of drawing/ designs in the near future!
