Magnolia Down Under

As I've been thinking about where I've come in my blog journey the last few years I was remembering where I started and one of the things that really drew me to stamping and cards were the cute Magnolia stamps I was seeing around... I have a few but I moved on ... however I thought it could be fun to pull one out and have a colour... so here goes nothing....

I must say she's a bit of a cutie ... Her dress was pretty fun to colour! I also had a little play trying to get the stocking look on her... that might need more practise tee hee!

So I thought I'd enter Magnolia Down Under Challenges  .... this was one of the first DTs I was able to guest on - although it's changed hands etc since then. Thanks ladies for a fun challenge... and for the GORGEOUS inspiration!!  The challenge was to use ... PINK, LACE and METAL ... good way to use up those little metal blossoms :D

This card was made for the One Stop Craft Challenge which is "Buttons and Bows"

I decided to include both buttons and bows together! :)
I also used the little Tingla image by Magnolia.

Tilda ATCs and PIF candy

I did originally make these ATCs for the Tilda and Friends ATC challenge but I was too slow in uploading and mailing them... so I am offering them to my readers.... If you would like one (to have or to swap) let me know and I'll pop it in the mail! :)

Perfect for my new cuttlebug... I also used the Copic pens on this Tilda.... I think that I need a lot more practise and reading etc etc.... BTW, the "prior pictures" (not shown) are not so good! :)

Oooh.... have a looksie what I got!! My sister Nic sent me a little package.. I bought a diary (for a friend) from her and she sent it to me along with a cute little shoe card and these Magnolia images!! I can't wait to colour them in!! :)

Another birthday :)

Here is another birthday card I made during the past week...for a little boy! I made my first ever "slide card" (thanks to the "Stamping and Papercraft" mag I got in April on holidays)!
You just pull the ribbon to make the car move across the card.. pretty cool! If you'd like to know how to make it just post a comment and I'll give you the instructions!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I made this card for a very lovely person (She is our Minister's wife/ My Boss's wife) and today she turns 40 ... We will help her celebrate on the weekend!
Guy was going to put this card in their letterbox on his way to work today - Isn't he great!!!


I have not been that well the past 2 days... have not been to work since Monday - which was a very long day... I guess I overdid it ... I am still recovering and trying to get some energy!! Have SLEPT a lot these last 2 days. I'm just so tired and sore - I want to make cards but I don't even have the energy for that!

Monday night was our church Delightful Night for Women and we did cardmaking with Japanese papers and orgami (we also had a talk on "Jesus - Worth waiting for" ... I had helped last Monday in cutting up paper and cardboard for the cards and then we just had soo many people coming that we decided we needed MORE!! so Monday afternoon I cut up more cards/ paper (+Toni had already cut up more before that) ... We had about 60 people there to make cards and I was one of the demonstrators (my table was making simple cards using "Far East Papers" and adhesive ribbons or Raffia ribbons), so I had 5 tables full of women in a row and had to speak over the noise of the other chattering women in the room to explain what to do.
It was a good night! They did make some good cards and enjoyed it

... Unfortunately I did not get photos of the cards as I was too busy...

Tilda and Co Challenge :: non card week

I'm loving using Tilda with Magnolias*

It's GREAT - now I can enter the Tilda & Co challenges - HOW FUN!

This week they are having a non-card week!

So Here is my non-card... a cover for the CD case which I will use to store my new magnolia stamps!!





*I have not managed to prepare the other stamps yet as I need to get some EZ mount or whatever you like to call it!!

Look what arrived yesterday!!!

Oh - excitement overload!! LOOK what arrived in the mail yesterday!!!




My first ever Magnolia order ... yipeee!!!! I only ordered them last week and they are already here!! :) yay!!!!

so... last night I stamped a few images and coloured and started making a card.... only one so far.... It still needs a sentiment but I'm not sure who/ what I will use the card for yet.... Maybe I will have to give away some of these beauties as stamped images for some blog candy soon....
