Dottie's World :: use that Photograph

Well Juliet set such a fun challenge on Dottie's World I just had to enter.... I coloured this image on Sunday but did not get the card done until tonight... Busy day today ... jewellery making at church (to send down to ladies in Victoria) and then a friend's bridal shower!

Ok.. so what about the challenge?? Juliet said:

"You can take whatever you like from the photograph: you could focus on the colours, use a cupcake on your work or make a cupcake shaped card - it's up to you. You must include one of the Charmed downloads on your project and please tell us how the photo inspired you in your make by leaving a comment and linking to your blog..."

So here is her photo:

And here is my card (sorry for the poor quality - taken on my mobile as flat batteries for camera... oops!! ... I was mostly inspired by the colours in the cupcakes... but I also liked the spotty tablecloth and so used the dots and colours for a border... and I couldn't forget that wafer .. so the sentiment is sitting on a wafer shape!

CLOSE up of Holly - I used the image Lou gave as a freebie for entering last weeks challenge... Isn't she just gorgeous!!

Thanks for looking :)

Dottie's World :: Wishing You Well

The Dottie's World challenge is "Wishing You Well"

I thought this would be a good card to send to someone going through a hard time.
I just LOVE these new girls... they are such fun to colour however for this challenge I used the coloured image and layered it in photoshop with this cafe scene which I took in Aix last year!

It's not the best photo (but will have to do for now)!

Close up of the cafe scene :)

inside of card (using my Hanna Stamps coffee bean stamp)

I can show this NOW as it's finally arrived!!
This is the book that I made to send my sister in Paris for Christmas - my other sisters and I bought her a voucher to Gallery La Fayette .... so I used some photos we took in Paris as the backgrounds for the Girl about Town downloads..... these lovely images are available to buy at Charmed Cards and Crafts

Dottie's World Challenge

The challenge on Dottie's world this week is ribbon and lace... I have ribbon and a lacey kinda effect with the hole punch at the bottom.
The photo is shocking will try and take a better one tomorrow!!

Have not been feeling well these last few days... but I am still hoping to get around all your blogs for some proper visits and commenting this week!!

Dottie's World

You really better pop on over and have a look....

Louise is celebrating her birthday with some yummy scrummy candy ... that's right a download bundle!! How lovely!!

oooh... and she says there will be a new collection coming soon.... yay!!

She's done it again!!!

Louise has some new images available at CHARMED CARDS and CRAFTS...

Go and have a look!! :)

Dottie's World :: Love is...

Juliet set this weeks challenge on Dottie's World. I have copied her words below:

'Love is......' and I would like to see a message or journalling on the FRONT of your card.
As usual, you must include one of the Dottie downloads too"

Here is my card:

As usual the DT have made some fantastic work... check them out!

Dotties World :: Going for a song

Well... I've done it... I 'm getting back into the swing... slowly....My sister Nic is here for the weekend and so we've been doing a spot of crafting....

I did my card for this week's challenge...

Lou set a great one on Dottie's World this week and the DT have made some super Creations again!! What was her challenge you ask???

"It's quite an easy one this week, to celebrate my good mood I've gone for a music theme (I love to sing). All you have to do along with using a Charmed download, is incorporate the words of a song or the title of a song into your card but you're not allowed 'happy birthday' or 'congratulations' for your song, I know I said easy but that's a step too far along the easy road!"

I went with a Christmas themed card for my first attempt... pretty simple and inside I wrote "Let Earth Receive its King" ... It's pretty simple.. .I was not too keen on it and so I tried again...

I love this bathtime Dottie image... I coloured this one ages ago but it's the FIRST time I've used the image on a card! :) ... I used two different songs for this one... :)

Mmm... I'm not still not too happy with it....

Before I go - I'll leave you with pictures of the card and detachable bookmark which was my idea for last weeks challenge BUT was not made in time (I finished it off today) .... I stole this idea from Katharina - here!

Dottie's World :: Pretty in Pink

Karen set this week's Dottie's World Challenge
and it's a good one! (Unfortunately she's had a computer glitch though. Hoping it's fixed SOON for her!! )

"I would like to see lots of pink pink PINK and also some sort of jewel(s)/charm(s)/or beads"

Well- I used a LOT of pink... I stopped myself from giving poor George a Pink suit but he does have a pink shirt, tie and vest! :)

This was my second week as guest designer on Dottie's World!! Thanks for having me!! :)

Love and Marriage :: Dottie and George

The wonderfully talented and amazing Louise has just brought out another collection of Dottie and George images!! You can look at them and purchase them here!!
check out Charmed Cards and Crafts whilst you are there!

The Love and Marriage collection includes images covering:
falling in love, engagement, wedding, pregnancy, new baby, christening & anniversary.

They are just gorgeous and if that's not enough Louise has included coloured images as well!! I could not help myself I had to jump straight in and make some cards! I thought I'd have a go at making some cards using some of the already coloured images... I made them fairly simple so as not to take away from the images themsleves!

Ok - I have to go and colour in some images now!!
