some drawing....

Well today I did some drawing for the first time in ages.... thing is though, I cannot show you what yet... as I am sending a card off to someone and I don't want to spoil the surprise... just in case she sees this before the card arrives! lol!

It was fun to draw again...and I'm thinking that I might have to do it a bit more... just for fun I think as there are soo many digi-images out there that I'm not sure mine are needed as well! But you will be seeing a few on here the next few weeks!

Whilst I'm rambling then I might add here.... I missed my blogoversary.... oops! so, I guess I will need to organise something (in lieu) this week! Stay tuned!!

This is my card for Club Anya's Monday Mania challenge... this week it is a challenge from Jen Shults to use the following "Recipe":
Olive green, Pink, Dark Brown and Sparkle!
Photobucket

Huge thanks to Tracey for sending me this image... I love this Miss Anya .. isn't she funky!
I'm loving this colour combination too and think you might see a few more cards from me in these colours. lol! Have a great Friday!!!

Anya Ink :: Flowers

I'm stoked to be a Guest Designer for Anya Ink this week :D
For this challenge Marcia has asked us to make a project that uses flowers ...

I had a bit of fun with this .... I used Anya from the Rock the Farm stamp set... which I purchased at The Stamp Spot! She is coloured with Copics and then stuck onto a flower-y shape... The other flowers in the pot are blooms layered and stuck onto the stem (paper wrapped around a bamboo skewer). The pot is filled with dirt/ wood chips! Here's a couple of other shots for you to see my flower creation in our garden. lol

Pop on over to Anya Ink and check out the fabulous DT creations... and why not enter this week - as it's an easy one ... you can make anything that uses flowers (and contains a The Greeting Farm image on it)

I've come back home from Canberra with a headcold (I thought it was just allergy initially but not now :P) and thus I think it will be bed for me today... not much crafting, colouring or bloghopping...plans amended - next week will be my catch up time

Just Magnolia - Paper Pleating

There is a special monthly challenge of paper pleating at Just Magnolia.. and a fab tutorial by Mina on how to do paper pleating :D
Here is my card ....

This Tilda was one I received in a swap last year (or the year before even) and coloured her in with watercolours.... I have a pile sitting there I should colour... they are all in alcohol based ink so I can't use my Copics... think I'll have to have a crack at improving my watercolour skills!! lol!

Tomorrow I'm off to Canberra for a few days ... road trip with a friend ... to visit another friend - should be fun... I'm going to catch up with a friend from High School for coffee on Thursday and another from Primary School for lunch on Friday (how good is facebook)! I'm also going to go and see THIS exhibition with paintings from the Musee D'Orsay. Should be great! I love Van Gogh, Cezanne and Gauguin :) So, I'll have some scheduled posts set up... but won't be round to comment on blogs till sometime on Sat and beyond!!

FFF :: Mary's glitter + glue challenge

So... this is my card for the current Farm Fresh Friday ... hurry you can still enter yourself.. until tomorrow!! Details from the Greeting Farm blog are:

Mary challenges us this week to
Use Glitter....and Glue! in your project. Could be loose glitter (ack!), Stickles, whatevah ;) Just make it sticky and sparkly, LOL....and you're there!

I coloured Lolli Anya in with my Copics ... loving them so much (in case you did not tell)! Just recently got the Momento Tuxedo black ink and it's AWESOME!!! Now.... apparently if I also get "really good" paper then it will be an absolute joy to blend colours! I added PVA glue to her hair and skirt and then added fine glitter dust... oooh... I love glitter!!! I also put some stickles on the border around the outside of the card!

Think I might set myself a challenge to use no doodling on a card as I seem to have to put some on every card I make. :D I've been having fun with some other projects today but can't show you yet ;)

This week the challenge theme is "Winter Birthdays" :D It sure is hard to make wintery cards when you are sitting in a hot room.. think I'm moving my craft desk into our bedroom (under the air-con. lol). Anyway ... pop on over to Pollycraft Monday and check out the Gorgeous DT creations :D

Anya Ink :: Black + White + ?? pink !!

I'm on a roll.. this is post #2 for today... please scroll down for Digital Tuesday entry...

Anya Ink is back and the challenge is....
A colour challenge, Black, White and one other colour of your choice.

so as you can see I used pink (seems to be my flavour of the month - surpassing purple surprisingly). I used Hope and Grace Snuggle that was sent me in a swap. Looks like I have to add another stamp to my evergrowing wish list. lol! Coloured with copics and the paper used is DCWV!

I don't list the colours of Copics I use generally... but i often write them down.... do ppl think it's a helpful thing to see on a post or do you just skim past it like me??

Digital love for Valentines

For this card I followed the Friday sketchers sketch here.... but I'm too late to enter...

However I am still in time for the digital tuesday challenge
.... these gorgeous elves are Pollycraft images (when they were available as digis :D)
and the theme is a Valentines card for a loved one... so there you have it!!

Recipe:
I used Copics (of course) to colour the image..and the flowers and brad to match!
paper and cardstock is from my stash. The sentiment "love" is a Kaisercraft rubon.

so that it can be taken from room to room.... and so I've spent a day and a bit
re-organising and cleaning up... I can't believe how many scraps of paper I have... will be doing something about that... anyway.. whilst it's clean and tidy here are some pics of my crafty area (I have taken over our spare room)!!

Magnolia Down Under :: Stamp with another use

YAY!! I'm finally entering another MDU challenge!!

I promised something different for my next post (although I had yesterday off as I made some cards but then we had a blackout in the afternoon... power for about an hour and then no power again most of the night.... so here I am today!)

Well I've had this little cutie coloured for some time (she was one I got in a swap) ...and I thought I better pop her on a card ... The current Magnolia Down Under challenge is:
Stamp with another use.... now I'm fairy certain this Tilda was not designed to be used on a baby card... but I think it works... cookies for the family?!

Speaking of Magnolias... I was given some money for Christmas and I've ordered the Spring Kit! oooh.. how exciting!!! Can't wait to see what will be in it!!

thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I'll be back with my first STAMP SPOT creation for the year!
