Just Add Ink - CUPCAKES

Good afternoon, I'm back after an extended break again :) I've been busy making up a stash of cards for the year ... and using up all my accumulated craft supplies which TBH, I was a bit surprised by the amount spread through out our house! I thought I might join in a crafty blog challenge to get the inspiration flowing .. and I decided to join this weeks Just Add Ink challenge -  with this delightfully sweet inspiration picture how could I resist??

I tried to use similar colours ... I'm really loving pastels at the moment :)

and of course I had to pull out one of my fav stamps.. Miss Anya cupcakes from The Greeting Farm!!

Some Odd Girl Shy Fairy

Good morning world!!! Today I have my third FAIRY bookmark to share with you!! Yay!! I  did have a LOT of fun making them!! I loved COLOURING up these new SOG Fairies ... and I'm sure you will too when you get them!! ;) This gorgeous fairy (and I think she might be my favourite as I believe we might be fairly similar) is Shy Fairy :)

She's coloured up in Copics with the Kindyglitz for the extra sparkle on her wings .. just like her Fairy Sisters / Friends I've shown here the last couple of days! :) To see more of this beautiful Shy Fairy please hop on over to the SOG blog :) I was having trouble working out sentiments to put on my bookmarks and my lovely friend Emma came through for me.. making up two "Book quotes" to go on them.. Oh.. I have made another video to share... It's another HOW to on a Print and Cut... a bit more advanced .. I show you how to edit individual posts... sometimes when you trace the image you get extra cut lines showing up... In this video I show you how to remove them.....

I exhausted myself today mowing our lawns... LOL.. but it's a great feeling of achievement! Right now
I'm sitting here watching West Wing with Guy... we love it!! Tonight we had Growth Group here... our new bible study - small group from Church... it was a great night.. I love having people in our home :) We are doing a short course called "Course of your Life"... It should be fun and challenging too! Great reminder of all God has done for us... tonight we looked at some of my FAVOURITE Bible passage ... I LOVE it so much I thought I would copy part of it below :D

Some Odd Girl :: Pixie

Good morning!! Oooh yeah it's BRIGHT and EARLY here... 1am and I'm al tucked up in bed lol! But with my lovely ODD friends in the states it's a decent time yesterday tee hee.... so that's why I'm here... I'm super stoked to be Guest DT for Some Odd Girl for their Digital release this month... The images are just tooo cute!

Today we are previewing the Gorgeous Little Pixie.... you might have seen this sweetie already in my video tutorial the other day ... however with a little colour she's even sweeter! lol! I have made her into a bookmark...

She's coloured with Copics and sparkled up with some Kinderglitz!

Guesting with the Oddies!!

So.... I have some Happy news today... I am a Digital Guest Designer for Feb with Some Odd Girl! Yipeeee!!!! :) I was super stoked when Kristy asked me if I wanted to... I think I said something like Um.. let me think for a secYES :D lol! There are some Gorgeous digi images coming out and today you can get a sneak at one on a video I put together showing how to do a Print and Cut on the Silhouette Cameo - you can see it on the Some Odd Girl blog HERE!! :D

I'm really going ODD at the moment

I am totally hooked on the Some Odd Girl creations at the moment lol... I had fun the other day with the greyscale image stamped in London Fog ink and so I thought I'd give it another go... I loved the effects of the POP of colour that I was seeing all over the SOG Ning Group... and so I was inspired to pop in not just one but a couple of SOFT colours alongside my Greyscale image :) And this is the result ....

Coloured with Copics .. Cool & Neutral Greys  as well as a couple of RVs, Bs, YGs & Gs :)

I've kinda used the current SOG Sketch challenge... although the shapes have morphed a little!

I've made a couple more cards for the challenges going on over at the Some Odd Girl forum this weekend!! I'm so pleased Kristy started the group there and they've been giving challenges as it's helped get my MOJO happening again! lol!!

Also... I bought some papers and flowers from Jane who is starting an online store ... Forever Markers and Craft Supplies... she has a facebook group here SO I had to try them out... I don't use a lot of flowers as they just don't seem to work for me like they do for others...

a Hol-ODD-day hop with SOG

Good morning!!! Today I  am popping on to LINK up and also to head you all on over the Some Odd Girl holiday Blog hop HERE!!! I've been a bit busy and slow at the moment and so there's not that much time left on the hop.. but enough to get hopping and even whip up a little holiday project too if you are keen!!!

Now about my creation... I got some sentiment stamps this week from Kellie HERE as I LOVE the Aussie Christmas theme to them... I've always loved that old Jingle Bells song.. um yes the Aussie Christmas one tee hee!! So I used them!

I found my Rusty Holden ute pic from a couple of years ago and cleaned it up a bit... mmm.. you might see that going free at Hatter's Hope later this week! :D and then piled in the Holiday Oddies...  Photo Kaylee, Gingerbread Kaylee, Hey Kaylee, Mermaid Mae is the driver and her passengers are Gingerbread peeps lol! Angel Mae is on the top of the bonnet and Deer Mae is on the front! Don't forget the gorgeous little Elves Tia and Tobie.. who just begged to wear the glasses from Preppy pups! :)

new challenge at M4M :: New colours

Good morning, Hope you are all going well and recovered from late nights to see in the new YEAR! :D I'm still tired from my late night .. must be getting old lol!

Anyway... just popping on the post my card using Surfer Kody from Some Odd Girl Stamps ...

Oh and I thought I would share these as I had so much fun and have some more fun ideas plotting too... Kristy is having a bit of fun this month... getting people to post on facebook with some "paper child" creations... you can google Paper Child to see what it is ... but you might also be able to guess from my pictures below.. 1st up after colouring Bookish Tia I sat her in front of a pile of books on top of our bookcase ...

and then yesterday when we left for church I took along Dressy Mae.. looking for a good place to put her.. and when we got to church I decided that she would look great in front of the building :D She was better dressed for church than me in my 3/4 pants - tee hee!!!

some Odd Tiny Tia Love Inspiration...

Good morning, Hope you are all well and had a lovely Christmas! Now for some its time to work again :( For those still on holidays I hope you are having a fun time! :)

I would like to share a card I made using one of Kristy's gorgeous new stamp sets...this one is "In Stitches Tia" .. I used Tiny Tia, the buttons AND the roll of cotton to create this little scene...

Now onto my projects... First up is the White card I made... now you were allowed to have a coloured image but I had coloured this Warm Wishes Tia elf in light greys .. and thought it would be interesting to have her on the white card... so here is what I have done...

I also have a "non-traditional" project ... I made a Christmas banner to hang in our living room .. Here is a pic of it hanging up ...


and then some close ups...

Between each word I have Some Odd Christmas images ;) Here is a peek... so although HollyDay Gwen (and a couple of the smaller stamps - eg. holly) is in traditional colours the rest certainly isn't so I think this fits that category! :D

a Kitchen scene

Today I thought I would share a little kitchen scene I coloured in...



The images I have used in my scene are Tiny Baker Tia ...a clear stamp from Some Odd Girl .. (attn: Aussies **** I now have in stock at Mad for Markers ***)
and a lovely kitchen background from Make it Crafty

I showed a couple of videos on Tuesday - on the Mad for Markers blog here ... of how I made the scene and how I coloured Tia!! This took me a while and I did end up wrecking it a bit when I put a layer of glue on top to "seal" it ... oh well.. it still looks OK just not AS GOOD... I did get a smudge on poor little Tia's face .. and I also smudged the white from her eyes.. oops!

I also need more practise I think KEEPING my light source consistent as I feel that the background is not brilliant!

Anyway.. enough rambling! Hope you like the scene!

I got Chibi-d

I'm so excited!! After seeing the gorgeous Chibis of Kellie and Debra that Kristy - Some Odd Girl created I just had to get her to make one for me too!!!

So this morning I arrived! tee hee.... HERE I am!!!

I just gave Kristy a link to my profile pics on facebook as well as some hints to my person.. and this is what she created... pretty cool huh! THANKS KRISTY!!!! :D

So I had to do a bit of a blog makeover :D Might still make a couple of changes... we'll see!!

I used Mae as Alice from Some Odd Girl :D and coloured her with Copics, and can you guess how I created my flowers?? I used the sketch tip on my Copics to make the petals and then cut around the outside (leaving a white border) I also free cut some flower out of blue cardstock to stick behind my Copic'ed flowers!!
