Dottie's World :: use that Photograph

Well Juliet set such a fun challenge on Dottie's World I just had to enter.... I coloured this image on Sunday but did not get the card done until tonight... Busy day today ... jewellery making at church (to send down to ladies in Victoria) and then a friend's bridal shower!

Ok.. so what about the challenge?? Juliet said:

"You can take whatever you like from the photograph: you could focus on the colours, use a cupcake on your work or make a cupcake shaped card - it's up to you. You must include one of the Charmed downloads on your project and please tell us how the photo inspired you in your make by leaving a comment and linking to your blog..."

So here is her photo:




And here is my card (sorry for the poor quality - taken on my mobile as flat batteries for camera... oops!! ... I was mostly inspired by the colours in the cupcakes... but I also liked the spotty tablecloth and so used the dots and colours for a border... and I couldn't forget that wafer .. so the sentiment is sitting on a wafer shape!

Dottie's World :: Blast from the Past

This week's Dottie's World challenge is set by Lou and this is what she said:

"This week I want you to look through your photos of cards you've made in the past, find one you really like then recreate it using the exact same layout but with different papers and embellishments! Of course there must be a Charmed download image in there too!"

Well I looked through my old Dottie's World challenge cards for a good one and decided to use the very first card I made for a Dottie's World challenge... here it is below!

.... using "Holly - Pamper Time!"
As per my original card I even used Paper piecing! I should do this more often - I like the effect!

Polly's house

Inspired by Maddie's house she made for Calvin mouse ... I decided to make a house for our God daughter's Polly Pocket clan ...

So I used an old box and turned it into this house (as you can see below)!

I used Lou's Awesome new downloads Holly and Madison - Available at Charmed Cards and Crafts. I think that they are just perfect for the house!
