Smashing the afternoon away

So yesterday afternoon I managed to SMASH again! yay!! LOVE this Smash book.. it's fun!! I don't  have any of the other Smash* products so I just use the book and pop in my own bits and pieces of stuff lol!!

This book is kinda all about me .. still working out what will go in there but this page is about something I'm having a lot of fun with at the moment..

This is ... creating some Manga-ish characters! I  have been finding Mark Crilley's youtube tutorials so helpful .. REALLY helped me with proportions etc etc etc!!! as well as his book - Mastering Manga..  WHICH IS AWESOME! I LOVE it!!! (THANKS) It has really helped me in designing these characters above ... oh and I LOVE the software - Manga Studio Ex - it's  AWESOME :)

They're Ba-ack!!!

If you have been following my blog for a number of years (THANKS) you might remember I used to have a LITTLE blog Crafty Muse... where I  drew digis etc ... and in those days I  designed a little set of characters ... the Gumnuts .... Well since I've been getting back into drawing and digis etc etc I  thought I would try and Bring them back bigger and better than before... and Here are the results...

I had a little FUN today following these little characters around the garden..

A Smashing Saturday Morning

I decided this morning it was about time to do some Smashing... so I pulled out my black SMASH book (Thanks again Em)  and the pics of our house I took on my Mini instax and then a bag full of bits and pieces and spent some time putting it all together... Here it is...

Good morning, Last night I had a little journey into La-La Land as I finished off this card... I am on a little mission at the moment... to CREATE more cards (not just colour in) and to CREATE my own backgrounds/ paper more.. so the last few cards I have been making are basically all just white cardstock, stamping, cuttlebugging and COPIC'ing.

Anyway...as soon as I received the tulip border die (available in Australia at Mad for Markers :) I had so many ideas and this is the first.... Rose Faerie Marci is having a tiptoe in the tulips!!

Under the Sea Mae

I LOVE the Mermaid Mae stamps that are in one of the last releases from Some Odd Girl Stamps..
Here is my card using one of these lovely Mae's .... coloured in PINKS!!!

The background papers ... bubbles and stripes are all done with COPICS as well.. I decided to try making my own PP for this card.. I think it came out OK... Although I think the card needs some MORE embellishments.. what would you suggest???

Happy Saturday! Hope you are all having a great weekend!! I'm just popping online to share some pics of my AWESOME gauntlets...

 

My Beautiful friend Bec had a pair of these last weekend and I admired them and when she said would I like some I was very keen... the very next night she brought mine to church and they are AMAZING.... they are 100 times better than fingerless gloves... warming your hands whilst allowing the fingers to move easily.. which makes them great for things like typing or colouring !!

Karate CHAMP

Good morning :)

I Hope everyone is well .. I have just been sitting googling "things to do with lemons" as we have the lemon tree now as well as a whole bag of lemons... so if you have any great ideas/ favourites then please let me know!!!

Today my beautiful friend Emma's oldest daughter is competing in Nationals for Karate and so I thought I would draw her a Karate girl for good luck... Here she is all coloured up...
