SJs Musings

I just had to share with you this card I made with this delightful fairycakes image that SJ was offering as a freebie on her blog during her "party" .... isn't she sweet!! I just love SJs drawings and GUESS WHAT??? I WON one of her prints... yay!!!! Can't wait till it arrives :D

I coloured the image with Copics, a pink spica pen and added glossy accents to the wings... the photo does not show that up properly.. will try and take a better one later... but for now I'm back on the couch :D All the embellishments are from Bizzy Becs store!! The sentiment is handwritten.. but I'm sure you could tell that from the uneven-ness of it. lol!

Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Cute card Sammi! That is an adorable fairy image! I really love the bright colors.

As for your question about the paper. My preference is the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. The PTI cardstock is 110lb. It is exquisite paper. However, I do not recommend it with Copics. It works if you are going to do minimal coloring. However, if you are going to do a lot of layering and blending, it is not recommended. For two reasons, it is more difficult to blend on the heavier paper, and most importantly, the heavier paper soaks up more ink and your Copics will dry out much faster.
There is also another company that just developed their cardstock with Copic. It is called Couture Cardstock Couture. I have not tried it yet, but will soon. I will let you know. Here it is if you want to read about it:
