Dottie's World :: Wishing You Well

The Dottie's World challenge is "Wishing You Well"

I thought this would be a good card to send to someone going through a hard time.
I just LOVE these new girls... they are such fun to colour however for this challenge I used the coloured image and layered it in photoshop with this cafe scene which I took in Aix last year!

It's not the best photo (but will have to do for now)!

This is the book that I made to send my sister in Paris for Christmas - my other sisters and I bought her a voucher to Gallery La Fayette .... so I used some photos we took in Paris as the backgrounds for the Girl about Town downloads..... these lovely images are available to buy at Charmed Cards and Crafts

Well.. I can't believe it's Christmas Eve eve, still got a fair bit to do.... Nothing much to post... I've done a fair bit of colouring.... a few more Christmas cards (can't show them yet) I did however manage to have a play with Lou's new images..... have sent a little something off to Paris and so.. this is all I can show you for now...



I am Sooo tired... can't wait till the new year (and a week off in January) :)

Working for a church (doing admin) means life is fairly busy right now preparing for Christmas it's easy to just get caught up in the busy-ness and stress and forget about what Christmas is.

To me - ultimately it is the celebration of the birth of Christ (that he came to earth as a man .. to live and to die for the salvation of many). Thanks be to God!
It's great to be able to celebrate Christmas .. .to spend time with family and friends and give gifts to each other :)

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Oooh Christmas is nearly upon us and I'm starting to feel Christmassy now! However!.....I have to confess to being a tad tired of Christmas cards so this week I'm challenging you to make tags. Nice and easy eh? That's what I thought.

I must admit I am sick of Christmas cards too.... Making a tag was fairly quick and easy - particularly with Lou's precoloured images! lol. Here is my tag:

The weekend

It's been quite a busy weekend... just got back from Orange where we went for the weekend for my Mum's 60th party!! It went well!!

2 of my sisters came with us... So we picked up M from the airport on Thursday night (after finding out on Tuesday she was coming home from Chile ... what a surprise) and S from the airport on Friday and then we set off!!

During the week just gone I finished off LOTS of Christmas cards + the presents for our annual friends/family Christmas party (which we were not able to attend this year) ... we filled up clear baubles with lollies (after personalising them with each person in the families' names!)





This week I am hoping to/ have to:
Finish Christmas presents/ shopping etc
Clean up the craft room
get some stamps made
make some cards
stop neglecting my blog friends!
AND finish a card for the Crafty Muse challenge starting this Friday!!

what a fairytale

It's my friend Mel's birthday today!! She is always REALLY good at making people cakes and cupcakes for their birthday!! I think she is the cupcake queen and so ... I drew this girl holding a cupcake to go on her card!!

I made her card to the recipe on the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is:
