Dottie's World :: Holes

The challenge this week on Dottie's World is "Holes"

"This week I want to see you making holes in your projects (no pin pricks, they don't count! (evil laugh again). The holes can be in the actual card or on an element of your card, like mesh or netting. Oh and of course it goes without saying, you have to use a Charmed download too!"

Well this was perfect - I have been looking at a technique in a magazine this past week about making patterns using holes and was hoping to try it out so I've given it a bit of a go here although the pattern is a bit random.. I used the Serenditpity technique in the background and then stuck the coloured paper which I had made holes with my eyelet tool on top -- I'm pretty pleased with it... - the colours show up kinda like disco lights.

*** Jac - For my last Dottie card I used the Creative Memories Custom Cutting System to make the shape of the card.... I will post a photo later in the week ... I will also post instructions for the slide card later in the week too! ***

  1. Wow Sammi, I love your Disco Dottie, that is fantastic! Definately gives the impression of disco lights - real wow factor.

  2. What a fabulous technique! I must have a go at that. I can imagine it with the coloured background as a spinning disk so that you can get an even funkier disco effect - now there's an idea! Brilliant card Sammi. You know I hadn't realise that you live down under until somebody pointed it out to me. I don't think Dottie could travel any further than that!

  3. Love it Sammi! So vibrant, and a great effect with the holes and background. Louise's mind is already whirling I see, lol. Thanks for joining the Challenge again xxx

  4. This is fabulous Sammi, I love the colours and the holes really do look like disco lights.

  5. Wow Sammi, this card is amazing! I love the disco lights effect! It's sooo colourful and really sets the tight atmosphere!

    Must try that technique sometime - I'm just not as adventurous as you yet!

    Hugs - Ruth x

  6. That is just fab Sammi. Absolutely perfect for Disco Dottie. I love it!

  7. LOL! Hello Diva Sammi! Well you have triumphed again with this one...its brilliant. Very clever idea!
